For most of my Christian walk, I did not understand what fasting was about. Growing up as a kid, I would occasionally hear adults talk about it in low, hushed voices, and the mystery surrounding fasting continued for many years. Several years ago, the women’s group at my church announced they would be doing a 21-day Daniel Fast.
