Work, Work, Work

All hard work brings a profit, but mere talk leads only to poverty. Proverbs 14:23

Have you been talking about trying something new? Something that feels bold and outside of your comfort zone? Maybe God is asking you to work in a new or different way for His Kingdom.  Big or small, it doesn’t matter. Proverbs 14 tells us that all hard work brings a profit. I don’t think this proverb merely applies to financial profit.

When we use our time and talents to share the Gospel, we help transform lives and bring others closer to Christ.

Isaiah 55:11 says, “…my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”

If we merely talk about what we could or might do in our church, community or even our own homes, but delay taking action, we could end up spiritually poor.

Let’s get to work!
